Mimi's Birthday Party

We had Mimi's birthday party over here on the 29th. I don't think she would mind me saying she turned 79! She is the best great-grandmother anybody could ask for. She will do anything for Alex (and he knows it). She plays with him at the park, on the floor, under the table, anywhere he wants. Hope you had a happy birthday Mimi!

Mimi sharing her birthday cake. He likes to take turns now. He'll say, "Your turn. My turn."

Mimi brought her own party favors to the party. So, of course, Alex was helping pass them out.

And he had to help her read her birthday cards.

And he had to help her open her birthday presents.

Emily gave her a ukulele for her birthday. Mimi had one when she was younger. Alex couldn't wait to play it! He stood there patiently (for what seemed like forever to him) while she played.

And then he finally got his turn.:)

The video is sideways and then I turn it up right. Mimi is singing a song that she knows how to play on the ukulele while Alex plays. He calls it the "pink guitar." Check out his moves-I think he's gonna be a rock star!
