Knoxville/Gatlinburg trip!

We always love going to Gatlinburg in October! We met up with the Williams' and Tomlins' to have dinner Friday night once we got in town.

Alex and Jack Glyien.
Henley and Avery.

We stayed at the same cabin last year. Alex loved playing pool (especially in his underwear). He would walk right out of his room in the morning and be ready to play!:)
Avery watching him play. Doesn't she look happy?
Parker, Alex, and Papa ready to head into the game. Alex loves being up high and watching all the people down below.

Avery got my camera...I love these two faces! It's like she was practicing different expressions.
"the eye squint"

Ready for ice skating!

Alex was so proud of himself for skating without holding our hands or the wall! Avery tells everyone how she had to help hold Grammy up. They did really well!

We went mini golfin' on the side of a mountain. It was so fun! Alex went first and then would run to the next hole and wait while the rest of us finished up. He would never watch us-he couldn't wait to see what the next hole looked like:).

Tallying up the scores...I think we tied.

Shooting practice.

Mimi gave them each a dollar, so we headed to the candy store and then to the arcade. That dollar went a long way!
Papa watched the kids naked in the hot tub in the mornings while the rest of us slept.

Down on the farm...

Our small group at church was invited to Justin's parent's house for some farm fun! The kids wore their halloween costumes, rode 4 wheelers, sat on a horse, and went on a wagon ride. We also ate lots of yummy food and had smores fixed over the fire! Thanks Mrs. Kay and Mr. J.A for inviting us!

Ella, Avery, and Henley.

Jack Glyien and Alex.

Thankfully, Mr. Brad let the kids pile on! Avery was in tears everytime he drove off without her...she loved riding!
This sweet friend of the Williams built this wagon for his horses to pull and insisted on bringing it over for the kids to ride on. It was awesome!

Nashville Part 2

The main reason we headed to Nashville was because Russell and Nan were renewing their vows. It was a very sweet, cold , lovely ceremony:).

We played a little before the ceremony. Tristan was running like a wild man!
Dot and Kyler.
Mom was trying to keep Kyler warm!
The lovely couple! Love y'all!
Sweet cousins! This is the best pic I could get.
Showing me his belly...
AFterwards, they took us out to dinner. My kids were tired! Can't you tell?

Avery gets my camera a lot these days!:)

Sweet girls!

I left this off the last post. Granddaddy was trying to beat Alex!:)

Nashville Part 1

Honeysuckle Hill Pumpkin Farm...one of our favorite places to go in the fall! We headed to Nashville during an off weekend in football and we had a blast! We hung out with family and went to the farm...what more could you ask for?

This was Alex on the way to Nashville. He does this when there is a "scary" part. But usually he is watching something that isn't even scary!!:)
Friday night we met Mom, Dad, Russell, Nan and the boys at Chuy's-one of my new favorite places to eat!
Tristan had made us rice krispy treats earlier so we all ate ours for dessert.

Saturday morning we got up to head to the farm! There are so many things for the kids to do it's ridiculous! We could easily stay from open to close and the kids would never be bored:). I love it when they are outside playing and not inside wanting to watch tv.

Lassoing...
On the cow train...

In the corn...
On the corn popper...

Racing on the big trikes...

Shooting a pumpkin out of a cannon...

Proud of his pumpkin he picked from the patch.

The duck races...

Coming off the ripple slide...

Swinging on a horse tire...

On the pumpkin train...

Love y'all!

Racing barrels...

And finally, watching a pumpkin being shot out of a large cannon. I am pretty sure the kids favorite thing are the pig races. They love hearing the names and cheering the pigs on! We can't wait to go back next year!
