Christmas afternoon

Alex and Abbie.

Avery got a princess sticker book and a birthday cake made of wood!
Aunt Betty and Uncle Jack.
Stick 'em up!
Alex got geoboards!
Justin and Alex.
Sweet Papaw.
After everyone left, Papa pulled out a King cake he had gotten for the kids when he was in Louisiana. I think there were two babies in there so they could each find one-ha!

Merry Christmas y'all!

Christmas morning!

Our tree before the chaos!
They were so excited! Alex immediately started scoping out his presents. Some books...
This sweet boy had homework one night. It was to come up with one way he could help someone at Christmas. I immediately started thinking of things I could suggest to him...how dumb. He said, within about 5 seconds, "I know Mama! I could tell them about Jesus' birth!" He topped all of mine!
Avery's books...
They each got an email from Santa again this year letting them know if they were on the naughty or nice list. Alex was on the nice list and Avery was on the naughty list, but Santa said she still had time. As she was watching the video, she said (with a very confused look on her face), "He said I'm on the naughty list, how in the world?" It was hilarious! I was cracking up, inside, of course. We talked a lot about what coal was and how we hoped she didn't get any. Christmas Eve (or the day before) we got an email from Santa saying she was doing better and to keep it up!
Stocking...

Avery got a pink bat and a Dora tennis racquet. She wants to play tball this year and start tennis lessons this summer.
Avery took these picture of her new toys.

Christmas Eve at Mimi and Grandan's!

Aaaahhhh...Christmas Eve. Love it! It was so nice and relaxing. We took cookies to the hospital and then came home and just hung out. We made reindeer food. It always consists of whatever I have at the time that I don't mind wasting. I think this time it was popcorn, sprinkles(always sprinkles), chex mix, saltine crackers and who knows what else.
The kids listening to his ipod as soon as they got up:).
That night we headed over to Mimi and Grandan's. We ate first and then opened up our presents. They couldn't wait to pass them out!
Alex reading. He is doing really well!
The map!
Santa came for a little visit and even sang a little Beatle's song with Alex. Avery wanted no part of Santa. She snuggled up close to me in a chair across the room. I think she did finally wave bye when he was outside.

Mimi has a picture of Avery when she was 2 (it looks like) holding this figurine. Avery wanted an updated one-ha!

Lambie sings Jesus loves me every night to her after we put her to bed.

Grammy and Grandan talking about their Christmas present-a trip to Scotland!

Sweet!
The following pictures were taken by Avery. She has started picking up my camera every chance she gets. I love her pictures!

This is Alex's nutcracker.

Grammy and Papa's Christmas!

With Christmas being on a Tuesday, John had off Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday! It was so nice to spread Christmas out a little bit. We had Christmas with Grammy, Papa, Parker, and Katie on Sunday afternoon. We weren't rushed and the kids got to play with their toys. Have I mentioned I hate being rushed at Christmas!

As soon as we got there, Alex ran over, sat down, and just stared at the presents. That boy was ready! Because of his enthusiasm we decided to open presents first and then eat.

He asked for a cd player to take with him and to keep in his room...so they got him an ipod! Grammy and Papa have gotten the kids into the Beatles (they love Yellow Submarine!) and so the Beatles were already downloaded on it with some other fun stuff.

Avery's horses!
Getting ready for Miami!
Grammy opening her plate we gave her!
She got a pink balance beam! It is now always in the middle of my hall when you come in my front door:).

She also got some roller skates! She is too cool!
Parker and Katie gave Alex these socker swords. The guys just beat up on each other all night. John busted one of them and promised Alex we would replace it...so we were at Toys R Us on Christmas Eve! AAARRGH!!
Our Christmas! Roll tide! Woo Hoo!!
