Pumpkin Farm and other things

Alex and I went to Nashville last weekend for my 10 year high school reunion. It was soooo much fun!!! I have wondered so many times about what people are doing now that I graduated with and NOW I know! We also went and visited Honeysuckle Hill Farm while we were in town. A family from my parent's church own it and it is where we took him last year. It is great if you live in Nashville and haven't been. Alex wouldn't go down any of the slides but he loved the sand pit and picking out his pumpkin.

He tried Elmo on for them to see while he was there. Here he is tackling him!

Sweet Elmo!

I told Alex to say "cheese" but it looks like dad is too!:)

Sweet face!

Aunt Linda and my cousin Mary came over to visit. Mary lives in Philadelphia now and hadn't seen Alex before. Yes, her life was sadly empty before this day.:) Alex took to her right away and wanted her to read to him.

He loves to drive the car! Whenever we get out or are getting in he wants in the front seat with the door shut. Then he usually wants you to sit beside him in the passenger seat. He has the best time just pushing all the buttons and turning the lights on and off.

Our Fun Days

Just some pictures of what we have been doing lately. Today Alex helped me color faces on our pumpkins outside. I figured next year we'll carve them and do all of that fun stuff:)

Last weekend we went to Nashville for a quick visit. Mom and Dad met us at 9:30 Friday night to pick up Alex at Midtown so John and I could have a good dinner together. Thank goodness for grandparents! Russell and Nan had us over Saturday night for steaks. They were delicious! Here is Alex playing the piano with Grandaddy. I have a similar picture of the two of them playing last Thanksgiving. Guess it will be a tradition:)No those are not matching shirts.

Mommadar, Grandaddy, and Alex going in the backyard to play.

Cheese! This is what he says now everytime he sees a camera.

The Calls live in our neighborhood right across from the park. We will call them when we are heading out to play. They definitely keep Alex entertained! This is Alex with Adam, Luke, and Maddox (L-R) (not pictured is Morgan-the only girl)eating an ice cream cone that Maddox fixed for Alex. Of course it didn't stay on the cone very long. I overheard Maddox tell Alex his name and Alex called him "Mad." Alex usually only says the first sound of words, like bread is "bre" and paci is "pa". I heard Maddox say "My name is Maddox but you can call me Mad if you want to." It was so sweet!

I haven't posted a crazy sleep picture of him in a while. Notice his legs sticking out between the slats. Also, in the night you can hear a banging noise coming from his room. It is him lying on his stomch and kicking his feet down against the mattress. He does it all the time when he is sleeping now.

Alex with his cousins Tim and Abbie at Mamaw and Papaw's house.

Last Friday we went to Jennifer's house for a playdate. We all put our stuff on the dining room table. Well, Olivia disappeared and this is where she was. She moved a chair to get up on the table got in my purse and had my phone up to her ear like she was talking on it. She is soo funny and the most on the move little girl I've ever seen! She keeps Jennifer on her toes 24/7.

Melanie's visit

Last weekend my good friend Melanie came to visit us from Orlando, FL. Her sweet husband kept her two kids while she spent the weekend with us. She arrived Thursday night and left us Sunday. We had a ton of fun! We get to see each other about once a year so we take advantage of our time together:) She is a huge Alabama football fan and it was an added bonus to her trip that she got to go to the AL/KY game. Below are just some pictures in no certain order of our weekend.

Alex took to her immediately. He was holding her hand and leading her around the house and snuggling up with her. He really likes her! Here they are reading together.

Alex watching Vandy beat Auburn-See Dad he was watching!!! Go Dores!!!

We went to a playdate at a friend's house for Melanie to meet all of my new friends here.

Here is Alex stealing Alec's animal cookies. As soon as I saw Alex sitting this close to Alec I knew exactly what he was doing...stealing his cookies. The boy couldn't get enough!

Melanie took a picture of us all since we don't ever get one. From Left to Right: Kristy, Jennifer, Ally, Me, April

Alex getting ready for lunch at Kristy's.

On the quad with Uncle Russell

Alex's Roll Tide sounds an awful lot like "Row Tide!"

So tired from being on the quad.

Melanie took this in our backyard. I think it looks like a professional (think senior high) pose.

Playing with Mel's sunglasses.

Heading out for the game.
