Alex's friend party at Chuck E. Cheese

Alex had his first ever "friend" party! He loves Chuck E! It was crazy, but fun. They did everything so I got to hang out and talk with everyone and didn't have to lift a finger, but for some reason I was still very tired at the end of the day:) But Alex said he had a great day so it made it worth it. He had 8 friends that got to come. Thinking of having a party in my house one day with this many kids kind of stresses me out :). With his birthday crown!
Alec with his mom, April. Blowing out his candles. I felt kind of sorry for the birthday host and his co-worker who had to do this exciting dance with Chuck E for some three year olds. The kids didn't really get the song and definitely didn't know when to clap and yell. It was an awkward, embarrassing moment, but as you can tell Alex didn't care and loved dancing with CEC.

Thomas trying his hand at air hockey.

Uncle Parker playing some games.
Opening his presents. He had a great time and wanted to play with and open everything right then.
Olivia.

Vivian with her mom, Melissa.

Paige with her mom, Kristy.
The kids got these glasses in the goodie bags and they all loved wearing them.
He looks like he is sneaking a bite of cake-HA!

Adam with his mom, Danielle.

Alex and Avery riding the horse together. As you can tell from Avery's face and the sounds she is making she loved riding the horse even though it looks like it's gonna give her whiplash.

The Beach and "I got da dollar!"

Alex likes to use my camera sometimes to take pictures of things. This one turned out pretty good, I thought.

We went to the beach around New Years with Jimmy and Emily. For some reason I only got like 4 pictures the few days we were there. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come... Avery likes to check herself out in the mirror.

Alex and Grammy before they head down to the beach.

I can't remember at all how this started but at Alex's birthday party when he opened his cards and got money he did this little chant/dance. He had done it before but I can't remember why or where he got it from. I don't know where's he seen it because this is not what I do when I have money in my wallet:) So for Jimmy's birthday party they gave Alex a card with money so we could see him dance again. He does it everytime he gets money in his hand.

Avery's Baby Dedication

On January 10th we had Avery's dedication at church. Papaw and Mimi and William were able to come. My parents had to leave Saturday and Jimmy and Emily were still in California. John had to work. He made it to church but didn't see the program at church. Bless my heart...I looked like a single mom with two kids:) She is wearing Emily's dress that she was christened in.

This is what she does half the day. She is always checking him out!

Nashville Christmas

Russell and Nan comparing bellies...wonder whose is bigger???:) Nan is almost 32 wks and Tristan should be here March 19th if not before. We are getting excited!!!

Playing candyland...one of the games he got for Christmas. He also got football pj's, jingle bells for his wrists, a sticker book (that is a lifesaver at restaurants and doctor's offices), and a cool violin that plays real songs.

Avery got a new doll! Doesn't she look so excited!?! DarDar also gave her some socks...she always thinks her feet are cold and a pink blanket like Alex's yellow one.

Avery was not liking her green beans!

Uncle Russell and Aunt Nan gave Alex this cool tent with a tunnel. He loves it!

Bailey came over for a little visit. Poor Avery wasn't feeling very good-sweet thing:(.

DarDar and Grandaddy promised him a ride on the train at Opry Mills.

John, Mom, Alex and I went out to Opryland hotel one night. It had been forever since I had been there. Lots of things have changed-I miss the carolers! That's an elephant we are beside in case you can't tell:)

Alex and Frosty...one of his favorites to sing about.

Finally, Christmas Day!

Christmas Eve night all ready for the kids! It was supposed to be the left side were presents from Mom and Dad and the right side (blue presents) were from Santa, but of course he doesn't really know the difference too much just yet. I think he just thinks it all came from Santa. Oh well...

Alex coming out and seeing his bike. He said, "That's my favorite bike." He NEVER mentioned ever that he wanted a bike:).

This is what he said he wanted from Santa-a soccer ball and a goal. He was so excited about it!

Reading Avery's new book. Avery was on the verge of a breakdown during presents because she hadn't eaten.

You can't tell too much because she is looking down but she is starting to fuss as she is opening her new play balls. I finally decided to feed her in the dining room with us so we could still see Alex open his presents.

Watching her brother act crazy on Christmas morning.

Alex said the soccer team was tired so they needed to lay down. OK, in the goal??

After we opened our Christmas gifts we headed over to Danny and Dru's for breakfast. Avery wore her sweet dress that Mimi gave her.

Driving Elly's new jeep.

After we ate breakfast we went to Jimmy and Emily's for Christmas with Jimmy's side of the family. Alex got the movie Toy story! Thanks Aunt Betty for somehow tracking that down. I didn't know it had been put in the vault when I put it on his Christmas list. Avery had a rough afternoon because she missed her morning nap so we had to put her down for her nap and she missed opening all the presents. But she did get some bath toys.:)
