a trip down memory lane...

So once before, a long time ago, I tried to post pics from my phone, but they were tiny compared to my camera pictures. Well, for some reason I tried again and it is much better! Here is just a sampling of what I have had on my phone for pretty much the last 4 1/2 years. I love the baby pics of the kids and remembering what they were into so I'm going down memory lane!

I'm pretty sure this picture was taken in Nashville after my dad's heart surgery.
One of my favorite pics of them-taken in NorthRiver.
Alex pretended he was an elephant for days after we had been to the circus! It still cracks me up thinking of him doing this.
In Miami for the BCS National Championship!
Trying to share headphones with Papa while walking back from a football game.

A sweet picture of Mom and Avery while we were still at the hospital.
Superhero Alex! They love this app on my phone!

Avery the cat-again the app.
Alex getting ready for his big boy bed at age 2.

I remember Alex gave her all these stuffed animals when I had her sitting in the chair.
Avery...always hanging from something.

Alex and Caden at NorthRiver. LOVE this pic of them! Wish the Carlsons were still in Alabama.
One of the first pictures we had "professionally" taken of Alex after we moved to Tuscaloosa. LOVE these too!
Avery and her "twin." Avery named her Kate(her middle name). Mimi and Granddan gave her Kate for her 3rd birthday.
Avery at Kindermusik when Alex was still in class. I didn't do it too long with her. I guess gymnastics has taken over.:)

Avery, Grammy, and Jayci (Grammy home schools her) after Jayci was Ariel in the Little Mermaid. Avery is shy around Jayci but loves to see her dance in her shows and for Jayci to show her some dance moves.
Avery's 1 year picture taken at the Botanical gardens in Birmingham. It was HOT this day. I remember John and Alex dropped us off and I couldn't wait for them to get back so I could get into an air conditioned car. Avery was fussy and ate puffs almost the whole time. Jenny had to photo shop lots of puffs out of the pictures-ha!
Avery's 9 month pictures taken at Capitol Park by my friend Jennifer. Love her leg kicked out! She wasn't a big fan of the grass on her bare feet.
Miles and Alex-best friends. This was taken the Wednesday after the National Championship game. We got him this shirt in Miami after the game and he wore it to school Wednesday. Miles' grandmother had bought him the same shirt in Tuscaloosa for him to wear. How crazy!

With Elly at IHCC eating a snack.
Jennifer took some pictures of Alex while she was doing Avery's 9 month session. He looked like such a big boy!

This was our dining room before we finally got a rug, table and chairs. It was Alex's playroom, of course! He loved trains and loved for me to make him tunnels for them to go under. Look at that sweet diaper:).
Alex's kindergarten school picture! Man, I can't believe it!

Christmas in Nashville

Alex had to bust out his ipod as soon as we got to Nashville so he and Grandaddy could listen to the Beatles!

Bailey had us over for dinner one night. It was yummy! We played games (ie., Brainquest) and the kids (mostly, Alex) really enjoyed it! Bailey is a breast cancer survivor and I am so glad she is! Someone had given her these napkins and I thought the message was worth repeating.:) Love you Bailey!

The next day we went to the Cumberland Science Museum. I had been wanting to take the kids and it was a perfect rainy day. They had a blast! Avery just asked me today(almost two months later) when we could go back to the museum in Nashbille and play with the water, as she says.
The perfect fish face.

This was Alex's face when he had to wait just a little bit longer before opening his presents-ha!

Saturday after Christmas, Russell and his family came over to hang out with us, open presents, and eat Christmas dinner.

Look at these mean faces!:) They are crazy cousins!
It snowed!

They all got bibles from DarDar and Grandaddy.
Wrestling cousins.

Both of them playing their leappads.

Alex's bible.
Avery's pink bible.
Oh, the dreamlite!
In DarDar's glasses.
A pic by Ave...

DarDar opening her plate made by the kids.
And I leave you with Kyler smiling by the tree...Merry Christmas!
