Georgia Aquarium

We left one Saturday morning for Atlanta. We were planning on going to the Aquarium one day and then whatever other fun thing we found to do the next day. I love the beluga whales at the aquarium and had told the kids about them. We had stopped at the outlet mall in Leeds for a little longer than expected and realized we weren't going to have a lot of time at the aquarium so we decided to change plans and go to the aquarium on Sunday instead. When John told Avery we weren't going to see the beluga whales that day she started crying! I had to take a picture...it was so funny and sweet. Hopefully, she won't think I'm a bad mom one day for doing this.

Instead, we went to the Botanical gardens. On two different websites I had read that if you only have one day in Atlanta to go here. Ummm...we must not be garden people. One day?? Really?? I think the aquarium or Six Flags tops the botanical gardens. The kids loved it though and we spent a good couple of hot, sweaty hours there.

Did you know they let monkeys in the gardens?
I love orchids! I felt like I needed to take pictures of flowers since we were at the gardens.:)
See the butterfly?
They raced through a caterpillar tunnel to this slide about 20 times.

The next day, after a yummy breakfast at the flying biscuit, we went to the aquarium. Alex wanted his picture taken with the Falcons dolphin.
At the dolphin tales show. It was a little cheesy, but the kids thought it was awesome!

Avery just chose a girly looking dolphin to have her picture made with.
Alex loved the sharks!
In a tunnel.

Alex with his hammerhead shark that he named Vongos and Avery with her fish that she named Deepo(after a character in the movie at the aquarium).
I love these kids!
