Christmas in Nashville!

Christmas afternoon we headed up to Nashville. We were trying to beat the ice and snow and we almost did, ALMOST. About 60 miles out of Nashville we slid a little and then started seeing others sliding and cars in the ditch and cops pulled over helping cars just a mile from another cop stopped helping someone. It was getting a little scary! BUT slowly we drove and finally, we made it safely.

Sunday we all got together for lunch and opened our presents and then that night my aunts, Tammy and Linda, cousin, David, and friend, Wanda came over for dinner and more presents.

Avery thought she had to help Tristan and stood close by as he opened his presents.

Mimi made her, all the grandmothers, and me this t-shirt.
Her first My little pony. I thought she would love it...John says it's mostly for me.:)

Tristan got a cool Vandy shirt from Dar Dar and Grandaddy.

And Alex got a cool Vandy jersey! He wears it more often than I thought he would. He asked me one morning, when he had his jersey on, who I was for Vandy or Alabama. I told him Alabama. Then he said he was on Vandy's team but Alabama had an Alex, too. I told him whatever team HE was on I was cheering for!

Playing his explorer...he loves it! The NFL game is math so when he plays it every few seconds he asks a question like this, "what is six plus one equals momma?" I'll say seven and then he yells there is no seven! So then I say five. We really gotta figure out the subtraction sign.

Tea on the stairs.

Aunt Tammy, Dad, and Aunt Linda.

Mom was doing her nails and Avery wanted it done to hers too!

David, me, and Russell. David works in LA doing special effects for movies. He worked on Avatar and he's working on Gulliver's travels. There are more but these are the big ones I can think of-how cool is that? So proud of him!

She did share with him some...even though this is his toy and she looks like she is standing guard over it.

Tristan wanted to get a little too close to the football players and Alex had to put up a blockade.
