Baseball Season

Baseball season has begun again and for the third season he is on the Yankees! Alex is fully immersed in it just like always. He is playing coach pitch this year and loves pretending when he is up to bat that it is him vs. the pitcher and if he gets a hit-he wins! He's hilarious and I believe he is much more into the game than most 5 year olds and probably even 10 year olds. He plays left center, and sometimes catcher (which he loves) and 3rd base. He is hitting so well this year and loves it when he scores! Alex is very competitive and pays attention to the score the whole game. His team is undefeated and they are doing great!

He is #10.

Easter in Nashville

While we were in Nashville for Tristan's birthday we celebrated Easter too.

Saturday night Mom wanted to make Resurrection cookies with the kids. I read the meaning of everything they did while they made the cookies.

Crushing the nuts...
Mixing...

They had a good time making them. I had never heard of these, but was glad it told the story of Jesus' resurrection. I did condense things a little bit for them because the description got a little wordy but I think they got the main points.
The millionth picture in a long line of pictures of them on the carousel.:)
Mini Whackamole with Grandaddy.

After we got home from church and lunch had been started we all were outside watching the boys play baseball.

Tristan kept running off into the neighbor's yard and somebody had to go get him:).

Cute fruit chicken idea DarDar!
Grandaddy said he would sit with the kids at lunch.

Everybody found a prize egg!

I love me some Bailey! And my kids do too! She always brings fun games and goodies for them to play with.

He was enthralled with the grass...

This was the best I could get of all three and we will soon be adding a 4th so it will be even more difficult!
Alex had chocolate straws and Avery had strawberry straws in their Easter baskets. You drink your milk with it and it turns it that flavor. Neat, huh?

So glad to spend Easter with my Daddy! I love you!

Tristan's 2nd birthday

Avery and I went up to Nashville the last weekend in March for Tristan's Elmo birthday party. John and Alex came a little later because of his baseball game on Saturday. He missed Tristan's party but still had a ton of fun. I also got to have dinner with my friend, Kristy, once again, no pictures of that:(

Friday we went to lunch with Mom and Dad and stopped at the Farmer's Market for a pink cupcake from Sweet Stash.
Dad stopped to buy sunglasses from a booth...who does that??? Russ Gentry...especially if they are only $5!
We were too late for a pink one, but she got over her disappointment quickly-thankfully!
Saturday morning we headed to T's party at the Treehouse. It was a lot of fun for the kids!
Mom thinks she has to give every grandkid a present at the birthday party whether it is their birthday or not. Avery was excited to see she got her very own book-all about her! (Just the way she likes it.)

We could hardly tear her away from this dollhouse...she's gonna be so girly!! Argh! I don't know what to do...

Nan had lots of cute party decorations!

I love how Avery is standing over him like the "Queen of Present Opening" making sure he is doing it right.

His Vandy stuff from DarDar and Grandaddy.

In the car, Avery kept sticking her finger in Mom's earring hoop-she thought it was hilarious!
He's such a happy boy sitting in his Alabama camping chair!
Waiting for lunch with Grandaddy.

Happy Birthday sweet boy! We love you!
