Trick or Treating

Last Friday Alex had lots of visitors. GrandDan, Granny, and Uncle Parker wanted to come see him in his Elmo costume before we went trick or treating. He showed them how cute he was!



Later that night Ally, Todd, and Caden came over to eat some chili and go trick or treating with us. Our neighborhood is still in the "new" phase and there are not houses on every lot so that would have been ALOT of walking. So we went to our 3 neighbors houses right next door and then we went to a neighborhood down the street where the houses are closer together. I knew it was going to be so fun watching Caden and Alex together. She bosses him around and he usually does whatever she says. I figured he would learn how to "trick or treat" by the end of the night from watching her.
Here are Tigger and Elmo.


Our first house-Caden would walk up and knock on the door and say trick or treat multiple times before anybody even came. Alex would be behind her just standing there. He didn't really care to eat any of the candy he got until he got his first sucker. He LOVES suckers and so John opened one up for him to eat between houses. Of course, Elmo was a little sticky after we got home that night.:)

This was one of the last houses. Alex was having to be carried by this time and he wouldn't hold his Elmo candy holder. (What do you call those things???) They both were so eager at first that when someone opened the door they wanted to go in the house. By this house they just walked up and sat on the front steps to take a rest. They didn't want to knock on the door or anything.

After we finished trick or treating we went to Grammy and Papa's house to visit so they could see Elmo too!
