The weekend before Memorial Day John took an extra day off and we headed to the beach. It was so nice and relaxing. I'm marking it down as Avery's first "good" car trip! She actually watched some Mickey Mouse DVD's (her new favorite thing is Minnie!) and gave us some peace and quiet-YEAH!! Alex, as always, did well watching movies and playing his explorer. Him and Avery had a good time trying to find the beach when we were only about 45 minutes out of Tuscaloosa:). We had fun swimming at the pool, playing in the sand, playing at the park, riding rides and driving go carts at the track, and eating good food!
Avery loves the baby pool! She woke up from her nap one day saying, "Bye Bye baby pool!" Alex had to decipher that for us.
Heading to the beach!
Everything is a "horhey" (horsey) to her.
Alex got to drive his own go cart! He loved it! And he was all about beating the other little boy!
He is doing so well swimming!
Avery was not a big fan of the sand again this year. She gets it honest because I would much rather hang out in the pool too!:) She would walk a little way and then stop and say, "Come get me."
Guess she was tired of me catching her miserable time in the sand.
Alex got to play a lot of baseball with Dad-he loved sliding in the sand.
Avery's first taste of the sand was at Lulu's. I had to just pick her up and take her over to where Alex was playing and then she was fine.
Notice she's not in her purple skirt anymore? She got SOAKED and we had to change her clothes-luckily we had some in the car.
